I spend a lot of time searching for people and information on the Internet. At ABR, we often bring in outside resources to help with some of our project work. As such, I spend time connecting with people through tools such as LinkedIn. LinkedIn is extremely helpful because not only can I see someone’s background and experience, but I can view the people we know in common. After spending several years in this business, it is amazing how small the world of instructional design becomes.
I also use the Internet to stay abreast of what is going on in the learning world. The Internet is an absolute wealth of information! I seek out learning experts to review their current research and sometimes other learning companies to see how they might solve a particular challenge.
What did we do before the Internet?
